At our manufacturing base Verden we started to assemble the panes for the Mediafaçade of the Klubhaus St. Pauli. Overall there are 11 glass panes for the elevator, which will lead to the panorama restaurant on the sixth floor. ONLYGLASS is responsible for the high-resolution part. We produce the glass panes in different sizes. The largest panes have a surface of about 2,50 meters x 3,40 meters.
After passing the burn-in test, the LED stripes are attached in a traverse and put together. This is the first step of the assembling. Then both laminated glass panes, in which the LED stripes will be enclosed, are cleansed in a wash system. By this we can ensure that even the smallest impurities are removed. Afterwards, the clean panes are attached precisely on the traverse with the LED stripes. This is only possible with the help of a suction lifting crane. Each of the laminated glass panes has a weight of about 300 kilograms. Therefore our engineers have to work with exceptional accuracy and high concentration. After all, both panes are exactly adjusted and the insulating glass with the inner LED stripes can be secured and sealed. Thus, all LEDs are protected from outside influences and can only by actuated through the cable inlet. This test is immediately conducted on location. The power supply is established. Switch it on and all LEDs in the pane burn. The assembling of another fully functional insulating glass pane for the Mediafaçade of the Klubhaus St. Pauli is finished.
